The 2025 International English Language Olympiad Will Take Place in Deva
The Decebal National College in Deva will host the International English Language Olympiad, scheduled to take place from 24 to 31 August this year. The event is organized by the Ministry of Education and Research and the Hunedoara County School Inspectorate.
This international competition will bring together over 150 participants the best English language students from the following countries registered for the contest: Romania, Luxembourg, China, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, and Slovakia.
On the occasion of this prestigious event hosted by the city at the foot of the Fortress, the official website of the International English Language Olympiad has been launched: http://ienglo.com.
The official opening will take place on Monday, 25 August, at the Teatrul de Artă (Theatre of Arts) in Deva. The written test is scheduled for Tuesday, 26 August, from 10:00 to 13:30; the oral test will be held on Wednesday, 27 August, from 10:00 to 15:00; and the project presentations will take place on Thursday, 28 August, from 10:00 to 14:00.
The Olympiad agenda also includes numerous visits to the most important tourist attractions in Deva, Brad, and Țebea, as well as to Sarmizegetusa Regia.
As part of the event, on Wednesday, 27 August, at 20:30, a classical music concert by the Arad Philharmonic Orchestra will be held in Piața Unirii (Union Square) in Deva.
This competition, which requires hard work, self-confidence, competitive spirit, motivation, and the natural desire to achieve success, is also an opportunity to discover Deva the city at the foot of the Fortress to build connections, form friendships, and grow spiritually along the long path of human fulfillment.
